Fatal error: Allowed Memory Size of XXXX Bytes Exhausted Print

  • 0

If you get an error like this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of x bytes exhausted (tried to allocate x bytes) in /path/to/php/script

or like this:

PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated x) (tried to allocate x bytes) in /path/to/php/script

then you will need to increase the amount of memory that PHP is allowed to use.

In your php.ini file change the following setting to a memory limit that you can allow based on your servers limits:

memory_limit = 256M

If you are on hosted platform like cPanel you can edit this value in the mulit-PHP editor or contact the help desk for further information.
